Obviously your sound is different from most current producers and it really helps set you apart sonically and aesthetically. Growing up, what bands/styles of music did you find yourself listening to and who are some of your current influences or favorite artists?

Growing up I listened to a ton of different shit but mainly rap & emo/screamo/post hardcore/etc etc. I’d go from listening to hella Ying Yang Twins then turning on from first to last. I got super into crunk music when I was in 6th grade for some reason. That shit was just like the heaviest rap I ever heard. The beats had crazy bass and they’d be yelling and shit it reminded me of the rock music I liked. Like, Lil Jon and Bonecrusher and shit lol. Then once I got on Myspace I found hella emo bands I liked such as From First to Last, Hawthorne Heights, Senses Fail, Chiodos, etc etc. I also am a huge hip hop head. I love A Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla, MF DOOM, Big L, Wu Tang Clan, Group Home, etc.

Current favorite artists are Vein, Blueface, Zubin, Girl Pusher, Big Baby Scumbag, Bootychaaain, Trippjones, Show me the Body, Danger Incorporated & Eyedress.

When did you decide to become a producer full time, rather than pursuing rapping as you did years ago?

I didn’t really decide to per-se I just did it the same amount of time since I started like putting in the same amount of hours each day since January of 2014. But rapping I never was taking it seriously I knew I couldn’t do anything with it but I wanted to make music and didn’t have anyone to be in a band with so I just asked my homie Hitmayng to teach me Ableton then the rest is history

How did you reach the point as a producer of not needing to sell beats and how do you get paid now?

I was able to quit my last job in 2016 as a dishwasher at a bar downtown LA and was surviving off of selling beats. Then I figured out I could make money by monetizing all the songs I’ve produced on YouTube even if it’s not on my page so I’ve been living off of YouTube monetization, show money and merch for about a year now.

When did you decide to release an album under your own alias and how long have you been working on it?

I’ve dropped over 40 projects under my own name but this is my first official producer album that I’ve always wanted to make. It’s all my production with my friends on the vocals. Shit was so fun to make and I’ve been working on it for about a year.

What songs on the album are you most proud of creating?

This song called I’ve Had Enough with Slug Christ, Fantasy Camp and Zubin is my favorite on there. Also I got this song called Triflin with Lil House Phone, Father and Bootychaaain that’s about to be the booty clapping anthem of 2019.

Who are some of your favorite artists to record with and why?

Too many to name but artists I work with prolly the most in person are Lil House Phone and Bootychaaain. Working with them is always hella fun in person.

How does a Nedarb song typically start? What is the creative process or what motivates you to create music?

I start with a sample + original melodies or just original melodies only then I do hi hats, snares and other percussion, 808s then kicks then I structure everything at the end. What motivates me is just listening to other music and getting inspired.

Moving away from the album, as we don’t want you to give away too many surprises, how did misery club start? And what is your role in the group?

Zubin started it earlier this year because him, Jon, Wicca and Fantasy Camp were recording an EP together then Zubin said let’s just make a group with this project. I’m a producer in misery club.

Can we expect a Misery Club tape in 2019?

Yes there’s a new EP coming out early 2019.

You’re known to be an underground A&R, what new artists are on your radar currently.

Lil Kae, Xanman, Auntie AJ, The Aquadolls, Lil Zay, and The Khan.

Finally, what is the story with the Saetia hoodie? I grew up being a huge Screamo/Skramz fan, did you as well and if so who are some of your favorite bands from the genre?

I’m not gonna tell anyone where i get my old skramz type merch lol but yes I love all that shit. My favorite bands in that genre are Saetia, Portraits of Past, i hate myself, combatwoundedveteran, Page Ninety Nine, Union of Uranus, Dystopia, and a bunch others.

Anything you want to say to DatPizz readers or the internet in general?
