With a sound akin to a mixture of rap and alternative rock, New York rapper Yung Spice has caught our ears. Spice’s music is a window into the eyes of the youth, making music about his own surroundings and the experiences of kids his age. In fact, even his greatest influences, Skizzy Mars and Khalid, are of his own generation, and their sound and messages provide the blueprint for Spice’s ethos as an artist. Yung Spice aspires to be a voice for the people, for the kids just like him, caught up in the ups and downs of the teen experience, from love to heartbreak and everything in between.
