Swamp G Discography

Today DatPizz is proud to present Swamp G, a 23 year old rapper outta Austin, Texas. A member of Condo Boys Entertainment, Swamp G has been making music since 2011, when he started just for fun. However, over time, he began to use music for an outlet of his true feelings and felt that it helped him to keep going. These days the huge support from his fans helps Swamp to keep on the grind, hoping to help others with the same emotions he experiences from time to time. Taking his main inspiration from Lil B, Swamp likes to think that he makes hip-hop with a fun vibe that still manages to be relatable. All-in-all, Swamp is just a good guy looking to have fun and help out others. Swamp sends love to his producers and credits them for helping to find his sound and he especially shouts out his fans for all the outrageous support that they continue to show him. If you haven’t listened to him much, his suggested project is Swamp Story 2, coming in at only 30 mins, so give it a listen!

Agoff Discography

Agoff is a rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. Agoff was one of Soulja Boy’s first disciples in music, following closely in his footsteps. Naturally, many bad feelings emerged when Agoff decided to leave Soulja’s label, leading to threats on both sides of the feud. These days Agoff does plenty of features for Chxpo, but has not really risen back to the height he was at during Soulja’s reign. Agoff founded his own label, SGOD, where he is currently the main artist.

DJ Screw Discography

DJ Screw is an artist that should honestly need no introduction. Based outta Houston, Screw is responsible for the genre of “chopped and screwed” as we know it today. Screw liked to take beats and add a perfect codeine-induced sound to them. His Screwed-Up Click helped to push this sound forward, leading to a music world today highly influenced by many of their techniques.  Unfortunately it was the codeine itself that got the best of him, as he died of an overdose in 2000. His spirit still lives on through groups like OG Ron C’s Chopstars, but we all know there will never be anyone able to do it like Screw did.

Cherokee Graves Discography

22 year old Minnesota artist Cherokee Graves makes music exactly as cold, dark, and rocky as you might expect from a native of his state. While he credits his influences more to the “old underground” of artists like Apathy and Necro, his sound is more directly comparable to current SoundCloud sad guys like smrtdeath and nothing, nowhere. Described by Graves as a manual through depression, his songs melodically navigate the pitfalls of sadness, bar by bar. His latest full-length release “From Hell, With Love” was two years in the making, and listening to it, you can hear those underground rap influences as well as inspiration from 2000s punk and emo. For those looking for the next to pop up on Astari and explode within the underground emo rap niche, Graves might be a good bet.

$teven Cannon Discography

$teven Cannon is a 22 year old rapper working out of Los Angeles, California. Originally from Cincinnati, where he worked in a few major studios meeting artists like Ray J, Cannon moved to LA as part of a sports scholarship, as he was a fantastic track competitor. After catching mono and losing the scholarship, he decided music was a much better direction to head with his future. Cannon founded the Low Gang along with other artists who had nothing and decided it was time to work towards the top. Cannon takes a large amount of inspiration from the trill movement of the south in his music and describes his music as “lean music”.

Shrimp – Runaway (DatPizz Exclusive)

Shrimp – Runaway (prod. JakeBlaze)

When one thinks of the Atlanta sound, the first thing that comes to mind is probably trap. From the beginning of the scene with Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, to TI’s Trap Musik all the way to the sound of today with Gucci and Migos, the one thing that has stayed cemented is that the ATL is full of drugs. Recently however, a new Atlanta sound is on the come-up. One that is not afraid to share their feelings through melodies and voice. One of the strongest of this new movement is a young artist named Shrimp. Producing and rapping, Shrimp and his clique are pushing forward with a new style, one more focused on emotion. On the new track “Runaway”, Shrimp lay out the image of a budding relationship and what can happen when two people fall in love. It is rare that an artist opens himself up to be weak, losing their persona as a tough act. But as he begs his girl to watch the sunset with him, listeners can’t help but feel for Shrimp, as most of them have surely been in a similar position. Producer JakeBlaze offers a beat to perfectly compliment the heartbreak, with heavenly synths being contrasted with a strong bass and hi-hat feel. The track has such a trap feel, only to get listeners caught up in their feelings. This is part of the brilliance of Shrimp, the seemingly oxymoronic sound that somehow comes together perfectly. Keep an eye on him as he continues his ascent into the forefront of the Atlanta scene.
