Slug Christ, Eric North & crimson//chaos – Decomposition of the Self (DatPizz Exclusive)

Back for week five of our Fall Single Series, DatPizz has something a little bit different to share with listeners today. With the track “Decomposition of the Self,” Slug Christ, Eric North and crimson//chaos are bringing some absolute heat. Chaos lays down a beat that begins with a bit of an acoustic vibe but devolves into a chill beat which our performers effortlessly ride over. Using almost an electronic sound, the three have created a soundscape perfect for creating the atmosphere they were going for. This song has all the marks of an underground hit, so the real question is why are you not listening to it right now.

Lil Peep & Shrimp – Goth Bitch (prod. Glitter) (DatPizz Exclusive)

Back at it again, here’s week four of DatPizz’s Fall Single Series. Again supported by some wonderful NPZ artwork, this week we have two incredible artists, Shrimp and Lil Peep, going over some Glitter production to make the fabulous track “Goth Bitch.” Using some dark synths and heavy 808s, Glitter sets the tone right away with his instrumentation for a dark soliloquy. Shrimp jumps in, telling listeners all about his special Goth Bitch and how much he wants her. Peep reiterates the statement with his hard verse, as normal, to seal off a wonderful track. Listeners are in for quite a treat this week, so go ahead and jump right in.

Blake Saint David – idontfuckwithdrugs (ft. Delcada & Tyler Farms) (DatPizz Exclusive)

Back again for week three of DatPizz’s Fall Single Series and NPZ is still doing his art thing. This week we have a killer track called “idontfuckwithdrugs (I.D.F.W.D.)” This crazy track offers some production by Shotgun Gis which features a nice, chill key melody complimented by hard hitting trap drums. This all blends to create a perfect smooth groove, one that gives Blake Saint David an opportunity to lay down a beautiful hook about his dangerous desires for the sweet escape of drugs. Jumping in to be the metaphorical devil on his shoulder we have a verse from Delcada about how he does, in fact, still fuck with drugs. Finally we get Tyler Farms jumping in to give his personal reasons for not touching the stuff anymore, offering a fantastic verse that wraps the entire song up. This is honestly one of my favorite songs we’ve ever released, so I encourage everyone to give it a spin (or ten) and let us know what you think!

Hellfiger & RIP Eternal – Nothing Lasts Forever (DatPizz Exclusive)

DatPizz is back with week two in our Fall Single Series. This week we have a wonderful trap beat laid out by our friend trapphones, over which Hellfiger and RIP Eternal lay out some vocals worthy only of the best. Titled “Nothing Lasts Forever”, this song is an anthem to lost relationships and broken hearts. The two vocalists reminisce over love’s labor’s lost and remind themselves that relationships don’t last forever, so they probably shouldn’t get too attached. Talking about such sentimental things while still going hard over the beat, this is the perfect track for really any moment in life. Give it a listen and see what kind of feels you bring back from it.

BBY GOYARD – Chasing Amy (DatPizz Exclusive)

Today DatPizz is proud to begin our Fall Single Series. We’re going to drop a single every week featuring some of the greatest talent of the underground right now, along with continuing to bring you the greatest of discographies to keep you up to date on your favorite artists. Each song will be exclusive to the site  and will feature some amazing artwork from the one and only NIPZ. To kick off our program we have the wonderful song “Chasing Amy”.  Opening on a wonderful synth intro to set the mood, JCAM and JJB3ATZ offer up a beat that maintains its trap roots while still keeping a happy, upbeat vibe. Not many artists would know what to do with a beat like this, but BBY GOYARD quickly demonstrates that he’s the perfect man for the job. Using a bit of a stream-of-consciousness lyric style, GOYARD addresses the troubles of dating and the seeming flip-flop of odds for many eligible bachelors. All-in-all, this track is the perfect one to launch our series, so we hope you give it a listen or two and stick with us while we help provide you with the sounds of SoundCloud.

Shrimp – Runaway (DatPizz Exclusive)

Shrimp – Runaway (prod. JakeBlaze)

When one thinks of the Atlanta sound, the first thing that comes to mind is probably trap. From the beginning of the scene with Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, to TI’s Trap Musik all the way to the sound of today with Gucci and Migos, the one thing that has stayed cemented is that the ATL is full of drugs. Recently however, a new Atlanta sound is on the come-up. One that is not afraid to share their feelings through melodies and voice. One of the strongest of this new movement is a young artist named Shrimp. Producing and rapping, Shrimp and his clique are pushing forward with a new style, one more focused on emotion. On the new track “Runaway”, Shrimp lay out the image of a budding relationship and what can happen when two people fall in love. It is rare that an artist opens himself up to be weak, losing their persona as a tough act. But as he begs his girl to watch the sunset with him, listeners can’t help but feel for Shrimp, as most of them have surely been in a similar position. Producer JakeBlaze offers a beat to perfectly compliment the heartbreak, with heavenly synths being contrasted with a strong bass and hi-hat feel. The track has such a trap feel, only to get listeners caught up in their feelings. This is part of the brilliance of Shrimp, the seemingly oxymoronic sound that somehow comes together perfectly. Keep an eye on him as he continues his ascent into the forefront of the Atlanta scene.
